This course will give a comprehensive overview of Western herbs for medicinal and nutritional uses. The anatomy and physiology of each of the body's systems, herbal treatment programs for illness/dysfunction, how to prevent illness, promote vitality and maintain balance in the body through the use of herbs.

Trauma and the Body

This one-day workshop will explore how trauma affects the nervous system, the endocrine system and the body as a whole.  Trauma' impact can leave a lifelong legacy of chronic health issues including anxiety, low energy, eating disorders, insomnia and addiction.  We will look into various ways of regaining health and vitality through the use of herbs, foods, homeopathic remedies and lifesyle adjustments.

Ecological Herbalism - Herbs throughout the Growing Season

This course is designed to familiarize students with herbs that grow here in the Northeast - both wild and in the garden. We will meet one Saturday per month, April through November (skipping August) to garden and gather plants, make herbal products and share stories and food together. This class is informal and hands-on.

Practical Homeopathy:
A Foundation Course in Homeopathic Philosophy and Acute Treatment
